Kevin Spacey made his directing debut with this edgy crime drama about a trio of small-time hoods (Matt Dillon, Gary Sinise and William Fichtner) fleeing after a bungled robbery in New Orleans. They hole up in a basement bar, taking the five people inside hostage while trying to determine their next move as the feds and a Special Weapons and Tactics team swarm outside. The great cast includes Faye Dunaway, Joe Mantegna and Viggo Mortensen.
